About CERT!!!
Westshore Council of Governments (COG) is sponsoring a Community
Emergency Response Team, known as C.E.R.T. This is a regional volunteer program
that will support Westshore Safety Forces and first responders in helping
residents prepare for, cope with, and recover from major emergencies and
disasters.
CERT program will provide disaster education and emergency preparedness, develop a system for volunteer response to community needs during public health emergencies, assist in the establishment of emergency shelters, and provide assistance to local safety forces under the direction of their local fire departments.
