Introduction!!!

       CERT training prepares you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors during and in the aftermath of a catastrophic disaster. Emergency responders may not be able to assist everyone immediately and you can make a difference by applying the skills learned in this course to save lives, and preserve property. These are basic skills aimed at doing the greatest good for the greatest number of victims after a disaster, and preventing yourself from becoming a victim.

About Trainning

       CERT uses a basic curriculum to train in preparedness for disaster or emergencies by;

  • Identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Initiating plans to prepare for disasters.
  • Learning skills to assist themselves and others until professional responders arrive.
  • Working cooperatively as a team within their areas.
  • Maintaining a relationship with the sponsoring agency that supports them.
  • Participating in continuing education and training.
  • Volunteering for projects to enhance the safety of their communities.
  • Understanding their capabilities and limitations when deployed.
